In Upstate New York, there lies a region known as the Finger Lakes. This region is known for its bodies of water, seasonal colors, and extravagant views. But most importantly, it is well known for countless waterfalls that dot the landscape. Falls explores some of these falls from the most iconic areas, from Letchworth State Park to Taughannock Falls. As the Finger Lakes finds itself dotted with these systems of water, the book is made through the alternative process of cyanotype printing, using this deep color of blue to strengthen the presence that these locations hold within the region. On the back cover, the location where these falls is found is cataloged on a map of the state of New York, encouraging viewers to use this map for their own explorations.
