Chandler Michael Culotta is a fine art and commercial photographer from Southwest Florida. As an artist, his work has explored a multitude of genres. Working both in studio and within the natural environment, Chandler works to bring his visions and experiences to the viewer, pulling them into the way he sees the world around us.

Chandler has extensive experience in the world of photojournalism and commercial photography. He has worked with publications such as Creative Loafing Tampa Bay and QRO Magazine, photographing and writing on live concerts, music festivals, protests, and local news and events with nearly 50 published articles. He has worked closely with clients within studio and event settings, photographing global and national conferences, providing photographic material for bands and album covers, and product and advertising photography.

With his fine artwork, Chandler works extensively in vocalizing his support for our planet’s natural environments. He explores the landscape, inserting himself deep within its territories, creating photographs that allow these intricate worlds a platform to speak on their own preservation and importance.

Chandler’s current on-going project, Among Cypress and Sawgrass, explores the world of his backyard, the Florida Everglades. The Everglades region is a place he has come to call home and love, vocalizing his support for its continued and improved protection. The series is created using a one to one ratio mural that immerses the viewer into the landscape with images placed upon it. These smaller images mix together photographs of the natural and human worlds, showing how human development has disrupted and harmed this ecosystem. The project was first displayed in Rochester, New York at Rochester Institute of Technology’s William Harris Gallery.

Through his desire to preserve the world’s ecosystems, Chandler prints all of his work on environmentally friendly and sustainable papers made from recycled and green harvested materials, reducing the carbon impact of his work on the environment.

Chandler received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Tampa and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography and Related Media from Rochester Institute of Technology.
