A Game of Cards

In 2020, the world faced the global pandemic of COVID-19, resulting in a global lockdown. This lockdown saw countries completely shutdown their normal day to day routines, with businesses, schools, and more closing and with many switching to a virtual workspace on Zoom and other applications. The public was told to stay home as much as possible, with no social interaction except those they lived with. During this period, I was living alone in a one bedroom apartment in downtown Tampa. A Game of Cards depicts my personal experience during this period, where I found myself having to become my best friend. I had to experience a new sense of independency, and through this series I explore this independency as I became my one and only source of company, interaction, and entertainment.
